MEET THE ARTIST:

KELSEY SCOTT aka 'K. SCOTTY'

If I have learned anything on this journey of being an artist, it's that we're all born with a dream and a purpose. Inside each of us is the will to make anything we desire happen. There's no knowing  how it will unfold, only that it will unfold the way it's supposed to. Your only job is to act upon intuition, move forward with passion, and ultimately believe in the process.

Born and raised in Southern Louisiana, now a resident of New Orleans. This city is nothing short of unique! An alumnus of Loyola University of New Orleans with a degree in Graphic Arts, creativity lives in my veins. Combining my love for painting with my skills in graphic design, I have found a way of expression through the use of color, texture, and fluidity by magnifying how I view life.

The most fascinating part about art is there's no one correct interpretation. Having an impact on someone through means of visual stimulation gives meaning to what I do, and the drive to continue creating for the world to see. Even though I may have constructed a painting with a purpose in mind, my favorite part is leaving a painting open to interpretation that leads the viewer down their own path to self discovery.
